Hundreds of thousands of working and young people have courageously protested and risked arrests, faced down teargas and pepper spray, and endured other violence from ICE agents and police departments. Hundreds of thousands are correctly recognizing that we need a general strike.

Working people need to organize strike actions, including general strikes, to pose a real threat to Trump and the Republican and Democratic parties, and to shut down the profit machine of the billionaire class.

But how do workers organize a general strike and how do we win the strike’s demands to shut down ICE and defeat Trump? Most of the labor leadership has failed to lead any strike actions, much less a regional or national general strike.

Join Kshama, union members, and Workers Strike Back at this unique strategy meeting to talk about how working people and union members can fight for a general strike. We will plan for concrete next steps including union petitions and resolutions and protest actions.

Kshama Sawant is running for Congress as an independent revolutionary socialist against Democratic Congressmember Adam Smith, who voted to create and fund ICE and to fund the genocide in Gaza. As the sole socialist on the Seattle City Council over a decade, Kshama won historic victories like the nation’s highest minimum wage, now at $21.30/hour, the Amazon Tax to fund affordable housing, and historic renters’ rights laws.

Kshama has demanded that the Democrats and Republicans on the City Councils in cities facing ICE terror:

• Roll back surveillance networks and 
• Ban ALL local agencies from sharing ANY data with ICE and enforce the law with serious penalties, including firing agency heads. 

Kshama's campaign demands: 

• Stop all deportations & shut down ICE; 
• End all U.S. military aid to Israel; 
• Free healthcare for all — tax the rich; 
• National rent control.
